We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Duty Manager at LAX Airport. This role is exciting for someone who can manage multiple disciplines of leadership, customer service excellence, business processes, final performance, and health & safety, all with a creative flair to shape the Lounge experience for customers.

Working in the Air New Zealand managed Star Alliance Lounge has a huge amount of both internal and external customer contact, so it is important that you have developed your abilities to build effective relationships and influence from a very early stage.

Also, in conjunction with relationships, is your talent to lead staff and resolve customer issues that arise.

You are the key contact for leading our contract catering and cleaning staff within the Lounge and have full responsibility on your day of operation.

This is a front-line role where your charisma and empathy continues despite sometimes difficult circumstances.

We are looking for candidates with the following strengths :

• Leadership & Culture - in this role you will be coaching and developing contract staff and model an engaged and high-performing culture
• Commercial Acumen - you will bring a commercial perspective and be able to apply our business strategies and brand values to the Lounge context
• Decision Making - you will bring a considered approach to decisions, balancing different factors such as financial performance with customer experience.

Requirements

• Legal right to work in the USA in a permanent position.
• Experience leading a team, having performance and development conversations.
• Leadership experience, leading a team in a busy and changing environment.
• Passion for customer experience and creating great customer connections.
• Previous experience within an airport environment is preferred.

In this role, you will set high standards of performance with a commitment to ensure our customers have an excellent lounge and Air New Zealand experience.

We need someone who can hit the ground running and pick up new systems quickly.

Shift Roster

This Lounge Leader role is a part-time position which operates on a regular shift work pattern that will require you to be able to commit to early starts and late finishes across weekdays and weekends.
