Cargo Agent

Job Description:

The Cargo Agent is responsible for handling and processing cargo shipments. This includes receiving, storing, and loading/unloading cargo from aircraft, trucks, and other modes of transportation. The Cargo Agent must ensure that all cargo is properly labeled, packaged, and secured for transport. They must also maintain accurate records of all cargo shipments and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process cargo shipments
• Load and unload cargo from aircraft, trucks, and other modes of transportation
• Ensure that all cargo is properly labeled, packaged, and secured for transport
• Maintain accurate records of all cargo shipments
• Complete all necessary documentation and file appropriately
• Communicate with customers and other stakeholders regarding cargo shipments
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in cargo handling or related field preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
