Aim Higher Adult Disability Services is seeking a Program Assistant to provide support and advocacy for adult persons with developmental disabilities.

We are a fun, energetic, and compassionate group of caring professionals who are passionate and committed to providing skill development to young people with developmental disabilities to help them transition into the world of adulthood. The Program Assistant serves to provide unconditional and exceptional assistance to all participants requiring help with daily living needs, activity inclusion and appropriate social inclusion.

We offer a 32-Hour per week work schedule from Monday to Friday! Our benefits for full-time employees include health, vision and dental along with competitive pay starting at $17.00.

Summary of Job Duties:

· Be knowledgeable of and able to appropriately respond to the specific needs and unique qualities of each participant enrolled in the AIM HIGHER Program

• Assisting the Program Manager(s) and co-workers to ensure ADA targets are met or exceeded on a daily/monthly basis
• Acknowledging and engaging with every participant on a daily basis throughout the programming day
• Ensuring every participant is given the assistance needed to be at the very least physically integrated into every activity
• Approaching all situations with a positive attitude and sustaining the positive attitude throughout the day
• Assisting the Program Manager(s) and co-workers to ensure Title 17 and Title 22 compliance standards are met at all times by ensuring compliance checks and ensuring all areas related to participant safety and staff safety are attended to immediately
• Provides hands on assistance to participants requiring help with basic daily living needs including eating, drinking, toileting, mobility and hygiene, etc.
• Develop and implement curriculum-based activities for the participants to participate in as assigned or required

Job Requirements:

· Applicants must be HS Graduate or possess a GED or equivalent.

· Proof of clearance through the Department of Justice and the FBI via Live Scan

· Proof of passing a pre-placement physical and back assessment

· Proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months
