Position Summary:
Coordinate Operator production activities, line-side, of one or more processes. Provide technical and troubleshooting support, line-side. Ensure daily production targets are met within quality specifications.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing guidance and information to operators to ensure daily production targets are met and part quality meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Understands method for completing tool changes and completes tool changes and change-point records;
Effectively troubleshoots machines, leak tests, assembly equipment and quality discrepancies;
Manages current machining and quality concerns by implementing corrective actions;
Reads and comprehends CMM data, by-part blue-prints and CMM pictograph adjustment sheets;
Understands and completes basic CNC program adjustments, according to CMM data and pictograph adjustment sheets;
Manages associate issues. Effectively utilizes TWI (Job Relation) training;
Understands Ahresty Key Performance Indexes and KPI targets;
Understands and implements kaizen activities using the PDCA Cycle to improve processes;
Ensures associates properly fill out daily production reports and counter confirmation sheets;
Updates and signs off assigned Production Boards;
Checks and signs off Q-Time check sheets. Takes corrective action when an item is out-of-spec.
Checks hour-by-hour results and ensures shift production targets are met and implements countermeasures when there are gaps in performance;
Lead segregation of nonconforming product;
Complete work observations according to standards;
Guide skill level development of associates line-side;
Aid in manpower allocation;
Ensure Standard Operational Procedures are consistently applied, trained, and followed;
Ensure associates follow Rules of Production in order to adhere to start-up, clean-up, breaks, and lunch periods
