CDM Position Summary
The Dietary Manager oversees the daily operations of the dietary department. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:
·Oversee the budget and purchasing of food & supplies, food preparation, services, and storage.
·Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
·Oversee safe and timely meal prep, including provision of meal and supplements in accordance with resident care plans. Monitor regular and therapeutic diets.
·Develop work schedule for staff, oversee inventory, and inspect meals to ensure standards are met.
·Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in QAPI as needed.
·Recruit, interview, hire, train, and terminate dietary employees.
·Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Administrator and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
·Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
CDM Requirements
·Active Dietary Manager certification
·Food Service Manager or certification/degree in Food Service Management or in Hospitality
·2 years of Food Service Management preferred
