Summary:

AgriNorthwest is looking to hire a reliable and independent Pump Operator to join our McNary farm team! The Pump Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the water distribution system in an efficient, effective and safe manner. This position is located in Plymouth, WA.

Responsibilities:

· Understand, control, and operate the computer system that controls the pumps.

· Receive daily water orders and process them.

· Adjust pumps to operate the water distribution system at optimum pressures.

· Understand on/off operation of all pumps and stabilize pressure and maintain all pumps and motors.

· Help with repairs and maintenance to ensure components run in a manner which will prevent and avoid damage.

· Be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.

· Able to distinguish the type of oil to be used in each different motor or gearbox, at different temperatures.

· Record and maintain a filing system on all maintenance procedures; keep the logbook current and accurate.

· Maintain and operate screening devices.

· Champion a world-class safety culture by becoming familiar with all safety devices, lockout tag out devices, and emergency shutdown procedures, as well as participating in regular safety training.

· Support with farm security, pesticide notification, and other cross-trained tasks.

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years previous related experience.

· Possess a valid driver’s license.

· Knowledge of PLC’s from a user’s standpoint as well as the water distribution system.

· Proficient technical skills, as well as ability to safely troubleshoot.

· Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

· Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout work period. Stepping up, stepping down, and kneeling required. Wrist, hand, and finger movement that encompasses squeezing, rotating, bending. Arm movement encompasses extension, raising, and bending. Neck movement encompasses raising, rotating, forward, backward, and side to side. Occasional long-term standing and walking during work. Long-term sitting required
