Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Operations Manager Primary Accountabilities:

• Set and maintain SAFETY, Quality, and audit standards
• Attend SAFETY meetings, conduct SAFETY investigations and lead teams to generate SAFETY improvement ideas
• Identify, investigate and resolve Quality issues
• On the floor supervision of plant personnel – training, auditing procedures and standards, evaluations, performance discussions, and career development
• Develop and communicate personnel work schedules
• Lead shift meetings with employees
• Responsible for Operations Department Performance
• Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to facilitate operations
• Cleaning and Sanitation for equipment and production areas
• Review process documentation to verify complete and accurate data
• Effective line startups and shutdowns
• Execute weekly production schedule – continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure tools and supplies are available

Operations Manager Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• Previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment is required
• Strong Interpersonal and Leadership skills
• HACCP and Food Manufacturing GMPs
• Strong Computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Excel
• SAP experience preferred
• Lean manufacturing and 5S experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills - Root Cause Analysis and Corrective / Preventive Action
• This position may require weekend and/or holiday work.
