Clarus Glassboards is Hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift Near Fort Worth, TX
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of the 2nd shift Manufacturing Production teams including labor scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of space, equipment, and labor. Key responsibilities include: staffing, manufacturing operations, and oversight of safety and security programs. Areas supervised by this position may include Assembly, Paint, Customs, and Fulfillment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations and utilization of the facility to meet volume demands.
- Execute the schedule of all manufacturing operations including paint and assembly of glass and steel components, order entry within the fulfillment process and shipping.
- Support the continuous improvement plans prescribed by the Quality Department
- Monitor the production areas and actual to plan volumes to ensure it continues to meet requirements.
- Review regular production reports and follow up with the appropriate supervision regarding any productivity or scheduling issues to ensure maximum utilization of resources and on-time delivery.
- Analyze production problems or bottlenecks, and evaluate alternative methods, processes, and equipment. Develop and disseminate meaningful productivity indicators on a regular basis.
- Direct the focus of the manufacturing personnel to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Establish and communicate job content, accountabilities, and standards of performance and conduct for employees, and conduct regular formal performance evaluations; coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of material to each production line.
- Assure that customer orders are completed timely and within prescribed cost levels.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports regarding manufacturing operations.
- Work with Production Department Managers to develop smooth flow of goods into and out of the manufacturing areas.
