Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to oversee our Adult Day Care Center. This position is a full time, salaried exempt position with a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm schedule. The position will work out of our Green Cove Springs Adult Day Care Center.

As the Adult Day Care Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to our adult day care participants while actively promoting and recruiting new clients to the center. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing and monitoring the health status of participants, developing care plans, coordinating healthcare services, overseeing daily operations, and implementing marketing strategies to attract clients. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community and contribute to the growth of our center.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor the health status of adult participants on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement individualized daily activity plans for Adult Day Care clients.
  • Oversee the administration of medications by LPN’s as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate with participants' primary care physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide health education and counseling to clients and their families on managing chronic conditions, medication compliance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Adult Day Care Center, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Train and supervise healthcare personnel, including Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other volunteer support staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of participants' care and progress.
  • Monitor and respond to medical emergencies or changes in participants' conditions promptly and effectively.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the dignity, independence, and well-being of ADC clients/participants.
  • Develop, oversee and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients to the Adult Day Care Center.
  • Identify and establish relationships with referral sources, such as healthcare providers, community organizations, and senior service agencies, to promote client recruitment.
  • Conduct outreach activities, including presentations, community events, and educational sessions, to raise awareness about the benefits of the Adult Day Care Center.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, online content, and advertising campaigns to reach potential clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Adult Day Care Center's services, programs, and eligibility criteria to effectively communicate with potential clients and their families.
  • Provide tours and conduct assessments for potential clients to determine their suitability for the Adult Day Care Center.
  • Act as a liaison between potential clients, their families, and the Adult Day Care Center, addressing inquiries, providing information, and facilitating the enrollment process.
  • Stay current with advances in healthcare practices, regulations, and industry trends related to adult care and implement best practices accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting within geriatrics preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants, families, and a diverse team of professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and state-specific AHCA regulations for adult care centers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and provide leadership and guidance to staff members.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to maintaining the dignity and privacy of participants.
  • Experience in marketing, client recruitment, or sales is preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
