As the GSE Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient maintenance, operation, and strategic management of all ground support equipment. Responsibilities: Management and Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the GSE maintenance team. Set performance expectations and ensure the team meets operational goals. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of ground support equipment, including but not limited to baggage carts, belt loaders, and pushback tractors. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term strategies for GSE fleet management and replacement. Collaborate with other departments to align GSE operations with overall airport objectives. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the annual budget for the GSE department. Implement cost-effective measures without compromising safety or reliability. Monitor expenses and analyze variances to ensure financial goals are met. Vendor and Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with GSE equipment vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about aviation regulations and ensure GSE operations comply with all relevant standards. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in GSE management or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong technical knowledge of ground support equipment and maintenance practices. Previous leadership or managerial experience is essential. Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic airport environment. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
