Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your expertise in pharmacy operations and patient service will contribute to the overall success of our healthcare facility.

Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accuracy of medication orders
- Maintain inventory control and assist with medication procurement
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of pharmaceuticals to accurately interpret prescriptions
- Assist in the compounding of medications, including sterile products, following aseptic technique
- Prepare intravenous (IV) medications for infusion
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of pharmacy operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
