Job Description:
The Lead bartender is responsible for coordinating the planning, organization, training, and leadership of employees in their respective duties as bartenders. The Lead bartender is also responsible for preparing and developing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Responsibilities:
- Manage bar liquor and supply inventory
- High level of knowledge of standard drink recipes
- High level of knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer
- Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Supervise and train employees in respective duties as bartenders (i.e., how to set up and break down the bar, handle money, prepare drinks)
- Seek out latest trends and products
- Cocktail development for seasonal and trend changes
- Participate in staff training sessions to ensure team proficiency in product knowledge and service standards
- Thorough knowledge of product and recipes
- Provide guests a memorable experience
Requirements:
- 1 - 2 years of bartending experience
- Excellent knowledge of spirits, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Strong commitment to service as well as consistency of offerings
- Strong organizational abilities
- 1 year of service to After
- A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching, and mentorship
