Aero Simulation is Hiring a RECEIVING CLERK Near Tampa, FL

Description

For 40 years Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI) has provided quality flight training devices to the US Military. ASI has successfully built numerous training systems with a primary focus on aircrew and maintenance training systems. Our current programs include, but are not limited to, the B-1 Training Systems (Air Force), E-2D Training Systems (Navy), CH-53E Training Devices (USMC), and IMOMS (Coast Guard). POSITION SUMMARY

The Receiving Clerk manages incoming deliveries by verifying and signing for shipments, unloading and storing the received items, delivering items/product to the correct requestor/department, processes all paperwork in a timely manner, and ensures that safety regulations are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitors the loading dock upon arrival of delivery trucks, oversees package unloading, and completes required paperwork as needed.

2. Ensures that incoming items are free from damage.

3. Accurately records information pertaining to damaged items.

4. Verifies the contents of deliveries by comparing packing lists to company purchase orders.

5. Inputs receiving data into the Corporate ERP system for record-keeping.

6. Tags received items and relocates them to the designated Stockroom holding area.

7. Assists in maintaining the calibration status of inspection and test equipment.

8. Maintains a clean and safe work area and complies with all health and safety requirements. 

9. Provides backup and assistance to other warehouse functions during peak workload and absence coverage.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

At least one year of related experience preferred. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to read, sort, check, count and verify numbers.

2. Proficiency in using computer software for data entry.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations.

4. Fundamental grasp of mathematics and record-keeping skills.

5. Exceptional organizational aptitude

6. Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Sharp attention to detail

9. Capability to thrive in a manufacturing/production setting.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)

2. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers

3. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

4. Ability to work in a project-oriented, fast paced environment to meet deadlines in both collaborative settings and independently.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

1. Due to contractual requirements all employees must be United States Citizens.

2. Must be able to pass an initial background check

3. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required). 

4. ASI is a Drug Free Workplace where applicants and employees are required to successfully pass pre-employment and Random drug testing.

5. Must be able to work overtime as required. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. 

2. Walk, stand, bend, squat, sit, twist/turn, climb stairs/ladders/steel loads, reach overhead, grasp tools as necessary and work at heights.

3. Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

5. Ability to perform close visual inspections and ability to see and identify large objects such as trucks and people at a distance, which may include specific vision requirements.

6. Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified people with disabilities to perform the job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Work is primarily performed in an office environment consisting of offices and cubicles with low to moderate noise and bright or dim lighting.

2. The work is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.

3. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as external customers.

4. Hours of work may vary depending on business needs.
