Job Description

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction . The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Pennsylvania area working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.

  • Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.

  • Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.

  • Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.

  • Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.

  • Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.

With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM’s Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today’s municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services—from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance—to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6 years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems

  • Registered Professional Engineer in PA.

  • Demonstrated knowledge water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience.

  • Willingness and ability to travel within PA and nearby states.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.

  • Registered Professional Engineer licensed in one or more nearby states to PA.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Participation in water community activities such as PWEA Water Environment Federation.

  • Proven ability to lead business development activities.

  • Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.

Offered rate of compensation ([insert state] locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000.
