Job Description
AECOM is seeking Coating Inspectors to be based in New York, NY.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of exciting design/build projects that are highly visible adding value to your career development. These could be small, medium and large projects. If you would enjoy being part of a Global Team interacting with colleagues globally, this will give you some global exposure, as well.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
  • Provides on the job training to new employees.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracks quality assurance progress.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
  • Bridge and Highway Coating Inspection with the bridge painting, and steel repairs.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
  • Highschool Diploma plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Transit Experience
Preferred requirements
  • NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 1, Currently being administered by AMPP-Association for Materials and Performance.
  • SSPC - Fundamentals of Protective Coatings (C1) or Bridge Coating Inspector Program (BC1), Currently being administered by AMPP-Association for Materials and Performance.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $48.00/hour - $76.00/hour.
