Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' related experience: Preferred
• One year leadership experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

• Researches, identifies and evaluates contracting opportunities in new/renewing categories across suppliers, services and other arrangements for the enterprise. Applies working knowledge of techniques, principles, theories and concepts of the discipline, staff, technologies, services and practices to complete contracting assignments. Negotiates and monitors vendor agreements to minimize costs and create efficiencies throughout the organization. Reviews current, revised, and new agreements to determine benefits to the organization.
• Builds and manages relationships with counterparties serving as the point of contact for relevant categories, issues and opportunities. Influences, negotiates and leverages spending with partners. Reviews terms and conditions of contracts. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Solves escalated operational problems and technical issues.
• Ensures successful implementation of contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders to completion. Monitors existing contracts to identify compliance issues and works with facilities to resolve challenges. Prioritizes own weekly schedule and guide others in the completion of tasks within clearly defined schedules as set by leadership. Works with clinical and nonclinical teams to evaluate products and services.
• Prepares and reports contracting metrics to senior leadership. Coordinates and facilitates legal resources for internal and external requests for legal services. Keeps senior leadership informed as to contracting activities. Assists with the development of policies and procedures for contract lifecycle management throughout the organization, for the purpose of both best legal practices and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in major department projects, including due diligence and document drafting for acquisitions and other transactions. Conducts legal research as required for position.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
