The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Medical Group

The role you’ll contribute: Provider Compensation Manager (Non-Acute/Ambulatory)

The Provider Compensation Manager will perform a variety of administrative and project related functions to assist the AVP/Controller and Director of Contract Development with the development and implementation of Provider Compensation initiatives, physician salary administration, special projects, and tracking of Provider Compensation arrangements. The individual will also be a resource to leadership in reviewing all aspects of provider compensation throughout the medical group.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Provides oversight of the calculation, review, and maintenance of AHMG provider compensation including production, quality, and other bonuses.
  • Manages the Medical Directorship payment process and ensures payments are distributed according to the contract.
  • Leads the monthly review of all Provider Compensation Special Payments and Administrative Pay.
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends options for Provider Compensation metrics and calculations.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with practice operators to develop solutions for compensation related inquiries and issues.
  • Provides interpretation and counsel to operations team regarding compensation and benefits policies, programs, and practices,
  • Participate in the annual analytical review of each employed provider’s pay structure to deliver a fair market value (FMV) plan that also meets Commercial Reasonableness (CR) Testing.
  • Leads Provider Compensation Process Analysis with Practice Operations Team to include questionnaires, observations, and modeling.
  • Supervise physician compensation models, including the planning of acquisitions and service line development.
  • Manages the development of high quality financial and compensation related reporting for practice operations.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with legal services, management, compliance, internal audit, and finance to support regulatory and business requirements.
  • Reviews and updates Compensation related policies and procedures, in partnership with department leadership.
Qualifications


Minimum qualifications
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field
  • 1 years of experience in provider compensation and/or 5 years healthcare industry experience
  • Ability to influence change, clarify ambiguity, and mobilize team members at all levels in the organization for meaningful action
  • Excellent computer skills including e-mail, spreadsheets using Microsoft software platforms

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field (preferred)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry Finance/Accounting environment (preferred)
  • MGMA ACMPE certified (preferred)
