About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our team at Advantage Ambulance. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee compensation and benefits, ensuring our team members are well taken care of and motivated to provide the best possible service to our community. Also, overseeing the payroll and benefits department. This position is responsible for the safety and maintenance of all records maintained in the administration building as well as building access as it pertains to PII compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer various employee benefits programs, such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Has the authority to develop and present any new or modified company policies and procedures to the Director of Human Resources for approval.
  • The primary function is to process, review and balance bi-weekly payroll. Ensure payroll transactions are processed correctly for time, earnings, benefits, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other items that affect pay &/or company liability. Oversees the accurate processing and reporting of employee payroll, maintenance of payroll and benefit records, leave accruals/balances, and investigation/resolution of payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all employees understand benefit programs and counsel employees as situations arise. Work as liaison with insurance carriers/broker and employees to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to compensation and benefits
  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Diligently monitor time and attendance infractions by sending weekly reports to the Director of HR for disciplinary procedures.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, human resources, accounting, or in a related field
  • Significant work experience may substitute for academic achievement
  • 3 years of experience in compensation and benefits management
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee compensation and benefits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional certification in compensation or benefits (e.g. CCP, CBP, CPM, CPP, or CCBM) required

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
