Medical Assistant - Advanced Urology of Montgomery

Position Summary

Experienced, energetic certified medical assistant to join fast-paced outpatient urology center of excellence providing high standards of care and exceptional patient-centered experience. Work environment of recognition and reward for exhibiting outstanding customer service and effectively contributing to the patient care team model established by the practice.

Education, Experience and Essential Responsibilities

1. Completion of a medical assistant training program and certification as a medical assistant by an accrediting organization. Certification is preferred but not required.

2. Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant in a physician office setting or relevant field, not including any internship/clinical rotation requirements for a formal medical training program. Clinical hours or experience related to completion of an accredited medical assistant program will not be applicable to the minimum years of experience required. New Graduates with no relevant experience beyond any clinical rotations need not apply.

3. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

4. Punctual and reliable attendance is required, not preferred.

5. Ability to manage situations of non-routine nature professionally and appropriately not requiring immediate involvement of management or medical staff.

6. Experience and or ability to utilize technology including but not limited to electronic medical records, multi-line phone system and fax systems.

7. Must have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications, ICD-10 and CPT codes as related to clinical documentation, and ability to follow clinical based protocols established by medical staff.

8. Complies with all local, state and federal entities necessary to perform duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
