TEMPEST APPRENTICE

TEMPEST experts in the Nation. Our elite training program will set you up for a solid career path in this unique field of
engineering. We will train you!
Training will take place in the Baltimore, MD Metropolitan area for the duration of 6-8 months*.
Our proven Apprentice program has changed the lives of many employees by providing them with engineering skills
without the constraints of a formal degree program.
What is an apprenticeship? You will be given instruction with on-the-job training. Unlike an internship, apprentices in our
program are paid while they learn. Once certified as one of API’s Certified Tempest Professional (CTP), you become eligible
for substantial increases in pay, including bonuses! With a combined 50 years of experience in this field, you can res
assured, your training is in good hands.
API has created a renowned program that keeps our Apprentices engaged in learning and provides a step by step program
for career development. And, we make it fun!

TEMPEST APPRENTICE
MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE and pass applicable background screenings
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference,
and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Electronics background preferred, but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
