Adult and Child Health is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Indianapolis, IN

Description

About This Position:

The RCM Collections Specialist works with the revenue cycle management team to process customer refunds, review account alterations, resolve client inconsistencies, and collect overdue payments. Exceptional customer service and communication skills will aid in following up with clients on overdue accounts and responding to client account queries in a timely and professional manner. In addition, this person will be responsible for creating monthly credit reports, researching and implementing effective collection techniques, and performing all administrative duties related to ensuring office efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Respond to and assist all patient inquiries regarding balances, updated insurance information, sliding scale and hardship
  • Run required reports to ensure accurate statements and send out statements on the 12th monthly
  • Send out past due letters as appropriate per account; review and send accounts to collection agency as appropriate
  • Maintain adjustment spreadsheet to report to Team Lead for sliding fee, hardship, unbillable service
  • Document all client accounts with follow up actions
  • Supervise assigned accounts to identify unresolved debts
  • Develop effective repayment plans
  • Oversee all monthly payments and refunds.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • High School diploma
  • One year directly related work experience in collections
  • Strong understanding of the billing and collection process
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and work as a team player
  • In depth knowledge of laws and policies related to debt collection
  • Good communication skills and flexibility
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
