ADECCO CURRENTLY IS HIRING FOR AN ACCOUNTANT FOR ONE OUR TOP CLIENTS! Location: Syracuse, NY Pay rate: $35/hr 3 month contract with possible extension or perm conversion
**Key Accountabilities**
Applies closing process standards and analysis of accounting close practices and transactions.
Assists with the accurate and timely recording and processing of transactions to support close and proper reporting to drive performance.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger account activity to ensure the ledger is correct and properly supported.
Assist in the preparation of various filings and information requests required by the state, FERC and other applicable authorities.
**Qualifications:**
3-5 years of related experience
Transaction and Close process management
General Accounting
Reporting Financial Information
Technical Accounting
Utility industry accounting preferred
US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC
Knowledge of general ledger platforms and accounting system experience
Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up, including ability to present to Senior Leadership
Ability to work cross-functionally on finance processes
Proficient in MS Excel, Word and other MS Office applications
**Pay Details:** $35.00 per hour
