Title: (Part-Time) Financial Controller

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our growing manufacturing business on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is partially retired and looking to stay engaged in the workforce. As a Part-Time Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, with a specific emphasis on costing and cash flow.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance team and HR department to ensure accurate financial records are maintained, and all HR functions are executed effectively, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Review costing models, ensuring that all costs are accurately tracked and allocated to products, services, and projects.
• Manage the company's cash flow, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, debt management, and banking/investment relationships.
• Work with the production team to develop and maintain product costings, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Produce timely and accurate management reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) part-time, providing insights and recommendations to senior management, including variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations part-time, including the preparation of all statutory returns.
• Develop and maintain strong financial controls part-time to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data accuracy.
• Provide leadership and support to other departments in the areas of financial analysis and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 20 years of experience in a financial controller role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
• Experience with costing, cash flow management, financial modeling, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Advanced Excel and QuickBooks proficiency.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Experience managing HR functions.
