Adams Street Dermatology is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Quincy, MA
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, detail oriented, reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Experience in a Dermatology Office is preferred. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting medical professionals in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with medical procedures
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures - Handle biopsy specimens for submission to pathology laboratory
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and medication instructions
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
Skills:
- Proficiency with EMR Systems
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience providing medical administrative support
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to accurately take vital signs and perform basic life support techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
