LITIGATION ASSOCIATE


An established boutique litigation law firm seeks a junior litigation associate to work on a broad range of commercial and construction litigation matters, both plaintiff and defense-side. Responsibilities include participation in all aspects of litigation, from discovery through trial and appeal. The firm has a small partner to associate ratio and there is ample opportunity for junior associates to gain substantive experience. We offer significant client contact and responsibility, a commitment to advancement, and excellent work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Currently admitted in New York
  • 1-4 years of litigation experience
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures and rules of evidence
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in using legal research platforms such as Lexis-Nexis
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with e-discovery preferred

Benefits

  • No billable hour minimum but expectation is 1600 hours, with bonuses based on additional hours billed

Annual salary range for this position is $105,000-$115,000. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience or other job-related factors permitted by law.
