ADAC Automotive Career Opportunities is Hiring a Senior Estimating Engineer Near Grand Rapids, MI
Essential Responsibilities:
Establish costs of goods, services, and engineering changes through collaboration with multiple departments within the organization, using Commercial quoting models and engineering technical documents and drawings.
Establish program financial reports, capacity, and budgets, to include cost, price, tooling, and capital.
Monitor and manage assigned Customer quoting systems.
Manage Commercial workbooks for assigned programs.
Support Customer cost and price collaboration events.
Support Customer capacity studies and quote requests.
Support the ADAC Phase Review process.
Attend relevant Customer and ADAC training events.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of technical and manufacturing work experience and education.
3-5 years of experience in an Estimating Engineer position, with a strong understanding of the pertinent concepts and processes.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Experience working in the automotive or plastics industries.
Experience working in Commercial Estimating.

Mathematics:Knowledge of financial KPI indicators, algebra, geometry, and statistics as they relate to Commercial Estimating.
Complex Problem Solving: Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and potential solutions.
Coordination:Effectively distributes and manages information received to ensure deliverables are met within required timing.
Manufacturing Knowledge:Understands product manufacturing and is familiar with:
Raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of machines and tools required in the production and control of company products.
