Ada Brand is Hiring a Behavioral Health Director of Operations Near Chicago, IL

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the drafting and implementation of BHCS procedures and protocols to ensure a standardized and structured clinical approach across all programs.
  • Schedules regular meetings with all BHCS supports (Internal Managers and External Partners).
  • Monitors productivity and benchmarks for all line staff; Monitors Billing and Claims reports.
  • Delivers staff productivity and billing claims reports to BHCS Clinical Director, Health Care Systems Director, and VP of BHCS.
  • Trains staff on the effective and efficient management of caseloads with the aim of maximizing the delivery of Direct Services.
  • Assures that clients receive the appropriate level of intensity of services and that services are medically necessary.
  • Assures that all treatment services are compliant with federal medical regulations.
  • Maintains and adheres to current rules and regulations pertaining to services delivered by the Illinois Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities as well as Department of Children & Family Services, including the Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (ANCRA)

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in either: counseling and guidance, rehabilitation, counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, Nursing, or other Health Sciences related field.
  • A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle report acceptable to the agency’s broker and verification of insurance.
  • Background clearance by the State of Illinois based upon a prior history of child abuse/neglect. In addition, a clear a personal background review, fingerprinting, and criminal checks.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):

  • This position requires the individual demonstrate the experiences, beliefs, attitude and awareness that indicate cultural sensitivity to the client population served.
  • This position requires the individual possess the ability to partner with clients individually and/or in family to help them mobilize resources and build resilience.
  • This position requires the individual possess the ability to coordinate effectively with other team members, other Agency resources and outside services in addressing client needs.
  • This position requires the individual possess an understanding of evidence-informed practices, engagement strategies, boundary setting, concurrent documentation, working in a community setting, organizing, motivational interviewing, and family systems.

Mental/Physical Demands:Ability to conceptualize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Duties are performed in a typical office environment. No unusual or adverse working conditions exist.
