Activ8 LLC is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Somerset, NJ
An international food manufacturing company in the Somerset, NJ area is currently searching for a motivated Maintenance Technician to join their facility.
Training on all equipment and processes can be provided. This is a full-time, direct hire position with openings on multiple shifts available.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include :
- Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and machinery (such as hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, conveyors, CNC machinery, etc.)
- Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
- Follow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activities
- Ensure plantwide compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other safety / environmental requirements and standards
- Tracking of tool and material inventory
- Creation of maintenance activity reports for upper management
- Other duties as assigned
Entry-level Maintenance Technician Requirements Include :
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents
- Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
