Job Summary:

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 5:30pm

Reports to: Operations Manager

As a Service Technician, your role is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our services. Your attention to detail and expertise in boats and engines contribute significantly to keeping our customers happy and on the water. Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive attitude and be a productive member of our team
• Use of checklist no matter experience to ensure a consistency in service department
• Actively manage work orders for units (training provided) - adding pictures of issues/work completed, repair notes, logging labor time, and communicating with other service staff as needed
• Work closely with Service Expeditor to report additional issues found and determine any additional parts needed for unit being serviced
• Be motivated and motivate team members to be efficient and achieve company goals
• Actively communicate service recommendations to Service Advisor
• Maintain a clean work space
• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Utilize your knowledge of boats and engines to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
• Execute tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service
• Uphold the company's commitment to delivering top-notch services
• Engage in ongoing training programs to stay current with industry trends and technological advancements
• Embrace opportunities for professional development to enhance your skills
• Work collaboratively with other team members to streamline service processes
• Prioritize and manage your workload efficiently to meet service deadlines

• Propose innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of service operations
• Mobile service runs as assigned to repair/service customers boats out of the dealership
• Adapt to changes in technology, procedures, or customer demands to meet evolving industry standards

Must-have Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience
• Professional communicator both verbally and in writing

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with no negative marks
• Technical experience in a marine dealership
• Technical training or certification in marine mechanics

Compensation:

• $21 - $25 per hour base
• Additional flat rate on billable hours monthly

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
