Job Summary:

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 5:30pm.

Reports to: Operations Manager

As a Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving employee growth and ensuring exceptional performance within our dealership. Your responsibilities include promoting and selling high-quality marine products and services to our valued customers, contributing to revenue generation through ethical and professional practices. Your dedication to delivering world-class customer service will be essential in creating positive and lasting experiences for our clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive attitude and be a productive member of our team
• Actively follow and ensure service process is being used by all employees
• Identify and assess boat issues and service requirements by attentively listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms, refining problem details through clarification, conducting thorough inspections, and reviewing boat maintenance records.
• Schedule drop off and pick up appointments
• Develop accurate estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, for service and sales units
• Increase revenue through proper billing procedures, thorough inspections of incoming units, upselling opportunities, and overall effective management of processes
• Accurately maintain a tech schedule; assigning 8-10 hours of work to all technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work
• Keep customers informed on the status of theirs boats before they reach out and ask (completed, additional work approvals, and general follow ups so customers do not feel forgotten about)
• Work closely with sales department to ensure all sales needs are taken care of while maintaining a balance so customer boats don’t get pushed too far behind
• Manage new boat deliveries from factory (unloading, preparing of rig tickets, and rigging)
• Help maintain organization of service lot with lot technician and expeditor(s)
• Seek, establish, and maintain vendors for internal and retail use
• Motivate team members to be efficient and achieve company goals

Must-have Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of service advising experience and/or 3 years prior service related experience in a dealership environment
• Comprehensive understanding of business, sales, and customer service
• Professional communicator both verbally and in writing
• Able to understand the mechanical and electrical systems on boats and communicate issues to employees and customers
• Knowledge of Google Suite (drive, docs, etc), email and Internet navigation required

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with no negative marks
• Experience using Total Control Software, Trello, Lightspeed

Compensation:

• $16 to $23/hour
• Additional percentage based monthly bonus
