Description:

• Medical Assistant - Certified or Non certified - at least 1 year of experience

Job Duties:

• Assisting physicians with patient care, scheduling, prior authorizations, obtaining pre-certs for MRIs and CTs, communicating test results, phlebotomy, and various other tasks. 25 to 30 patients per provider - 3 providers at each clinic.
• MA's will be spread out through 8 locations - some travel through the Knoxville - UT hospital - from the base at UT about 30 minute travel.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office
• Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate
• Prior medical experience is required
• Externship or field office MA experience
• EMR experience is a plus - Cerner
• OBGYN or women's experience is a plus but will accept MAs from any clinic
