Description:
This candidate will trained to work a hybrid role of CSE in Glastonbury and Mechanical Engineer in their shop in Bloomfield. This person will be trained to handle that customer service engineering requests make mechanical engineering and determining root cause issues from customer cases as well as collaborating with Design engineers using NX. This person will also split there week and train in the shop doing repair engineering working and overseeing technicians who are breaking down the Turbine engines for routine maintenance or determining root cause and corrective action/repairs for engines that have come in for a failure.
3-5 Must Haves:
Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science
0 years experience in manufacturing environment
Minimum of degree internship in manufacturing company required
Customer Support Engineering is divided into components including the gas generator, power turbine, electrical items including electrical generators and controls, lube and hydraulic skids, structures, inlet filters, evaporator coolers, etc. In essence our supplies complete Electrical Generation Stations and Propulsion Units and Customer Support Engineering is responsible for all aspects of these products.
CSE Shop Role:
• Participate in overhaul & disassembly of engines scheduled for routine maintenance and failure/damage issues including weather or temperature issues, fractures, stress etc.
• Root Cause investigations from disassembly of GT’s & PT’s, create technical presentations from findings.
• Work with Sr. Engineers to report findings and solutions to customers.
• Participate in Borescope Inspections and reporting.
• Assist in routine shop needs like operations sheets, occasionally creating tooling for fixture solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Engineering Degree- Cannot be "ET" degree from CCSU, etc.
1. Ancillary Experience (industrial/aerospace engineering preferred)
2. Gas Turbine Engineer (FT8/FT4000 experience preferred)
3. Configuration Management experience in gas turbine industry
Mechanical Engineering, the candidate should possess proven communication and teaming skills with ability to interface with many organizational levels, both internally and externally.
