Duties:

• Design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for institutional type buildings.
• Review technical manuals, and other technical documentation that relate to HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems and apply the information to designs.
• Preform load calculations using computer programs.
• Develop duct and piping layouts and preform sizing of systems.
• Ensure project designs comply with applicable building codes and owner requirements.
• Review construction specifications and be able to incorporate specification requirement into design.
• Collaborate with architects, internal engineers, consultants and owners to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
• Provide direct support to the assigned project managers or Team Leads.
• Support planning and execution efforts for technical investigations, analyses, and testing
• Select and schedule basic HVAC equipment (fans, package AC units, split systems etc), with aid from lead engineer or project manager

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as Building Code, ASHRAE and LEED.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact and work with diverse set of clients.
• Exhibits self-disciplined approach to establishing priorities to meet multiple concurrent deadlines both for themselves, and others.
• Must take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you.
• Adhere to Company polices and governmental requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience. 
• Candidates with and without engineering degrees will be considered.
