Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of the companies under our umbrella. The Controller will be responsible for managing cash flow, creating and tracking budgets, analyzing financial strengths and weaknesses, suggesting strategic financial decisions, and collaborating closely with the principal of the company on various projects and daily operations. This role requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the financial operations of all companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
· Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow across all entities.
· Create comprehensive budgets for each company and monitor performance against financial goals.
· Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
· Collaborate with the principal of the company to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
· Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain efficiency.
· Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits and filings.
· Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to inform financial decision-making.
· Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
· Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, preferably overseeing multiple entities.
· Strong understanding of financial principles, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
· Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a dynamic work environment.
· High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
· Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve common goals.
· Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges as the business evolves.
