The Residential Living Manager position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and basic skills (academic) training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.

Summary of Duties:

Manages and oversees all areas of Social Development to include Residential Living and Recreation.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management of the department which includes Recreation and Residential Living.
• Develops and implements training plan for staff.
• Provides support for an active and effective dorm leadership program.
• Operates dormitory area, coordinates services, conducts counseling and resolves problems and assists students with their daily living needs.
• Manage all student incidents and ensure that individual meetings with students address issues and express plans to resolve problems.
• Maintain student files and dormitory areas.
• Ensures that residences are attractive, clean, safe and in good repair.
• Ensure student accountability and information is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitors student leave requests, attendance and Absent Without Leave (AWOL) retrievals.
• Maintains contact with students who are in AWOL status and makes every attempt to retrieve them from this status.
• Ensures a robust recreation program that is all-inclusive.

Education and Experience:

• - Bachelors preferred.
• Two years experience working with youth and young adults.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check*

• As a Federal Contractor, while North Dakota law may allow individuals to consume marijuana if they have a qualifying medical condition, marijuana is still illegal under federal law. A positive drug screen with a medical marijuana card will result in an offer not being made.
