Job Summary:
The Outreach Manager is responsible for supporting the census goals and growth of Acorn Health’s home and center-based business units and build and maintain positive referral relationships in the communities we serve. This is achieved through generating referrals for early intervention and ABA services from referring partners that work with families with access to commercial payors. This position does require travel up to 40%, mostly within the state of Michigan.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Acorn Health’s services and processes in providing ABA services to families.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive and working knowledge of the referral source target markets that we utilize for our referrals into the Acorn Health systems of care.
- Conducts face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and emails with potential referral sources, educating them on the benefits of early intervention, ABA services, and guiding providers on steps to refer.
- Seeks new referral sources that work with commercial payers by prospecting, lead generation, and market data. Cultivates lead lists of targeted providers such as pediatricians, schools, neurologists, daycares, and other professionals.
- Collaborates with the Director of Outreach to develop and execute strategic routing plans to increase awareness of ABA, early intervention, and home and center-based services, leading to referrals.
- Adds and maintains contact activity, inquiries, and client enrollment through CRM. Responsible for documenting daily/weekly activities, reporting to business development, and business unit leadership monthly.
- Works with intake specialists to track referral sources, maintaining ongoing communication with referral sources during the intake process and as needed upon child enrollment into services.
- Meets outreach contact goals with referral sources as identified on a weekly basis.
- Attend events targeted to families to promote and meet potential referral sources.
- Coordinate launch events for new business unit programs in assigned territory.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of autism, early intervention, ABA services preferred.
- Experience with healthcare/behavioral health sales, working with professionals that treat children is optimal.
- Ability to prioritize outreach tasks as needed.
- Experience with commercial market providers.
- Ability to travel freely daily throughout assigned territories.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and technology skills.
- Adaptable to working in a company in a growth-phase (building the bridge as its crossed).
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Must possess strong internal and external customer service skills.
- Good driving record and the ability to pass a background screening is required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
