The Bartender will work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their
responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing
how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar
supplies.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage, safety, regulatory and sanitation policies
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent - preferred
• Previous work experience as a Bartender
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the bar area
• Adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment• Excellent physical condition and stamina
• Must have command of the English language
Physical Demands: Physical abilities required for job.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (90 percent of shift).
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, and stooping
• Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
