Acme Barricades is Hiring a BOOKKEEPER Near Jacksonville, FL

Description

The Bookkeeper can perform various Corporate office functions including the successful follow-up and status of the company’s outstanding receivables, accounts payable, general ledger compiling financial information. This position has a strong focus in Accounts Receivables but will also partner with the Accounting staff, Controller, other Corporate Office positions, Branch Managers, and customers/clients. Ideal candidates will take satisfaction in reconciling and problem-solving, providing exemplary customer service , demonstrating an attention to detail and accuracy of reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Includes, but is not limited to, the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Establish follow-ups with Accounts Receivable team to effectively reconcile and collect outstanding balances
  • Complete customer credit applications for Senior Management review
  • Research and file NTO or Bonding Letters
  • Assist the Accounting Team with monthly closing process
  • Assist Accounts Payable department
  • Assist Billing Department
  • Prepare lien releases for Senior Management review & sign-off
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and requests from Corporate Management
  • Assist HR department with onboarding and data entry
  • Manage customer payment methods such as checks, credit card, ACH, wires, etc.
  • Open and distribute the mail

Requirements

 Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Prior experience in Corporate office environment preferred
  • Highly proficient in Excel, generally good with technology

  • Must have manual dexterity required for repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Extended use of a computer, keypad or phone
