POSITION SUMMARY:
The Preventative Maintenance Service Technician main responsibility will be to maintain equipment for one of our biggest projects and occasionally help with installations. Please note that this position will require weekend availability once the project starts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Working independently, visit job sites daily at various locations across the Atlanta area
Maintaining parking and gate equipment for each location
Record service calls in dispatching system including time, service provided and material
Installation of new equipment
Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety measures
Operate company vehicles in a safe manner
Maintain and develop good customer relationships
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Regular attendance at work
Other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Ability to perform physical work outdoors year round in a variety of weather elements
Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Ability to understand, speak and write English
Good time management skills
Must be able to install heavy equipment
Aptitude to learn
As a condition of employment, Guardian will conduct a background/MVR check and drug screen
Preferred:
Experience with electronic equipment repairs
Experience with low voltage
Technical degree or certification in electronics

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment and is subject to weather extremes (heat, cold, sun, wind, rain, or if applicable in your geographic area, snow). Duties may require digging for long periods of time. Occasional need to drive a vehicle to other work locations.
