Unissant is looking for a Test Engineer to join our team to support design, development, and implementation activities for our federal customer. This is a 100% remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently identify test scenarios based on business requirements discussed in story grooming and backlog grooming and work with the BA and Scrum Master to capture acceptance tests
• Perform multiple forms of testing (manual and automation) for both front and back end code
• Document test cases and results such as test reports, requirements traceability matrix
• Troubleshoot and mitigate issues, suggesting fixes where applicable and tracking issues through mitigation
• Facilitate testing improvements by recommending best practices, supporting other testers, and sharing knowledge of test tools.
• Automate test scripts using automated testing software so they can quickly be referenced and re-executed with minimal human intervention
• Participate in lower environment integration testing and production deployment verification testing efforts

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Experience in an Agile environment - preferably Scrum methodology using tools like Jira, Confluence and Zephyr

Job Skills:

• Knowledge of systems testing and evaluation principles, methods, and tools
• Knowledge and experience with automated testing tools like Selenium and Jmeter
• Knowledge and experience with section 508 compliance standards
• Knowledge of requirement analysis principles and methods
• Enthusiastic, proactive, positive attitude with great listening skills and high integrity
• Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail

Education:

• BA/BS in a related field (or with equivalent experience) preferred

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

• The candidates should have the ability to obtain public trust clearance.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write clear and concise technical architecture documents

Travel:

• Local

Environmental Requirements:

• Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.
• May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
• Flexible in working extended hours
