Job Summary: run daily functions of the People Operations department including administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
· Reconciles benefit statements
· Conducts audits of benefits and other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute people operations programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Handles TWC, EEOC, and other cases over employment
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in people operations, talent management, and employment law.
