Position Overview:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for music education and community building? The Academy of Music and Arts is seeking a Director of Operations & Community to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the student experience, managing day-to-day operations, and cultivating a sense of belonging within our community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage with current and prospective students, and promote community events and achievements.
  • Student Success and Retention Programs: Design and implement initiatives to support student progress, enhance learning outcomes, and increase retention rates through personalized support and innovative programming.
  • Community Development: Foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie among students, instructors, and families by organizing events, workshops, and performances that celebrate achievements and encourage collaboration.
  • Community Relationships: Cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to strengthen ties within the broader community and create opportunities for collaboration and outreach.
  • Billing Operations: Oversee billing processes, ensure accuracy, and oversee timely completion at a local level.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Work closely with local management and staff to align operational strategies with educational objectives, providing input on curriculum development, scheduling, and resource allocation to create a world-class learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Arts Management, Music, Music Industry, or a related degree, or relevant past experience
  • Proven experience in operations management, community engagement, and/or educational program development, preferably in a music or arts-related setting.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative flair for engaging content creation.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, project management tools, CRM Suites, and general billing software.
  • The ability to play a (or multiple) musical instruments is a plus, although not required.
