Machine Tender is on 2nd shift with 8% shift differential pay.

Basic Function: Responsible to ensure machine cells are running in order to meet production goals and quality standards. 

Tasks:

1. Dimensionally inspect parts from machining automotive parts according to process sheets ensuring rates are met or exceeded.
2. Visually inspect parts to ensure parts are within the defined specifications to meet quality standards.
3. Appropriately segregate parts which do not meet quality standards.
4. Identify the need for and complete wheel changes when needed.
5. Inform management of any maintenance issues or problems related to a job. 
6. Submit Daily Production Report at the end of each shift to Production Supervisor. 
7. Make recommendations for improvements to the production supervisors to insure continuous improvement of quality and company performance.
8. Keep work area clean, organized and free from clutter. The machine must be wiped down each shift.
9. Any other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor.

Skills:

1. Ability to communicate read and write in English.
2. Ability to perform basic math. 
3. Familiarity with the use of hand tools. 
4. Ability to use various measuring instruments. 

Experience and Education:

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in a machining environment. 
2. High School Diploma or GED. 

Essential Physical Requirements:

1. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
2. Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
3. Physical ability to do repetitive work.
4. Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they sheet specifications.
