ABMIndustries is Hiring an Utility Worker (FT) Near Savannah, GA

Job Purpose:
  • The Utility Worker is responsible for performing general cleaning, trash removal, and wood breakdown functions within a specific building.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to complete background check and drugscreen.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Essential Functions:
  • Picking up bagged trash from pre-determined locations on building floors and, using a utility trash cart, forklift, or truck to transport to a dumpster, compactor, or other designated location.
  • Transportation of trash from a building might require the use of a company-provided vehicle.
  • Breaking down and disposing of wood pallets, wood crates, and wooden fixtures in proper containers and locations. 
  • Maintaining clean equipment and wiping down all trash receptacles as needed. 
  • Executing janitorial duties such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors..
  • Following all safety and personnel rules and regulations, including the wearing of all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
