ABM US is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Savannah, GA
ABM is seeking an Onsite HR Generalist to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of local HR operations, to include implementation of the policies, procedures, and programs of the organization with oversight from the Onsite HR Manager.
This is an Onsite Role 5 days/week (Mon-Fri) supporting our ABM managers and frontline team members at our client site located at 500 Gulfstream Road, Savannah, GA 31408.
Essential Functions
- Provide HR services to include compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, labor relations, and completing personnel transactions.
- Recommend/participate in the development and execution of orientation programs and procedures for new employees.
- Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
- Assist with employee relations investigations and appropriately documenting employee concerns/complaints.
- Process corrective actions and terminations in a timely manner.
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Advise management in areas of employment law, policies and regulations.
- Report day to day activity to Onsite HR Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of government regulations related to employment law (FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
- Must have a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to deal with sensitive issues
Computer Skills
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
