ABM US is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Austin, TX

As a Financial Analyst, you will work with various departments such as Field Operations, Business Development, and Talent Acquisition. Your main tasks will include preparing pricing for Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), analyzing staffing to performance, developing and forecasting staffing. You will also drive pricing submissions with the Sales Support team and validate actual staffing compared to forecasted staffing levels. Additionally, you will work with client supply chain personnel and represent ABM in initial negotiations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

5 years of experience in facility service, supply chain, or manufacturing.

Confidence in collaborating with internal and executive-level management on financial projects within the M&D industry.

A comprehensive understanding of finance, pricing and costing, data modeling, and solid experience building detailed Excel models are needed.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

BBA with a major in Accounting or Finance is preferred (not required).

Excellent at Excel with strong enough skills to self-teach via online searches or classes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

 Pricing/RFPs

  • Works with Field Finance, Operations (local, Regional, and VP level), Legal/Risk, Insurance, Procurement, etc., to finalize pricing for each RFP. This includes verifying current expenses, pay rates, hours, management and overhead, assets, technology costs, rental costs, etc. and provides P&L bridges from current financial performance to proposed pricing (for retention opportunities). Verifies all the above using various internal and external sources.
  • Responsible for standardized labor loading tools across all service lines, which support business development growth and operational competitiveness.
  • Dive deep into data, uncovering trends and patterns. 
  • Implement robust reporting and financial tracking mechanisms to monitor transformation's progress. 
  • Tailor strategies and initiatives that impact critical business areas. 
  • Standardize the process for reporting & company-wide showcases.
  • Continues to monitor and update Outstanding Proposals through various and multiple rounds of pricing updates (often 2 to 4 rounds of pricing for opportunities). This includes updating all necessary internal departments for input, updating internal pricing models, and updating client models by the client’s expected due date. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with product development, marketing, and sales efforts.
  • Addresses pricing issues through RFP post-mortems. 
  • Fully understands all aspects of the contract that will affect pricing exercises.
  • Develop single or multi-service price schedules for new and existing business bid responses.
  • Updates standard costs within the internal pricing model. 
  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing and market trends using Excel and Power BI to identify opportunities for the company to improve its pricing strategies.
  • Works with the Director of Pricing to update pricing methodologies bi-annually. 
  • Tracks and verifies Minimum Wage increases, tax rate changes, and any other Government/Mandated expenses and how they affect pricing.
  • Continually improves the pricing models to handle better all client requests/models and internal reporting needs.
  • Work with Sales/Account Managers to process each opportunity through SalesForce; estimate preliminary pricing for new RFPs, update pricing amounts throughout the process, and ensure the overall accuracy of SalesForce Data. 
  • Identify and resolve deviations from the proposal, including scope and specifications.
  • Provides insight into crucial data indicators regarding labor, food and supplies, material, and time requirements based on provided statistical goals.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
  • Occasionally attend complex site tours to understand client requirements and aggregate pricing and cost estimates developed by the operations and pricing teams.

  • Analytical, Detail oriented, Multi-tasker, Self-Starter, and Professional
  • Extremely proficient with Excel modeling
  • Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate) and Salesforce
  • Keen understanding of tables and data relationships
  • Tight deadlines - willing to work late or on weekends if necessary.
  • Good communication skills internally and externally
  • Familiar with Benchmarking, Trend Analysis, and Metrics.
