POSITION: Assistant Program Manager
PROGRAM ASSIGNMENT: Abilis Residential Services
SCHEDULED WORK HOURS: The Assistant Program Manager is a full time exempt position (40 hours per week) which develops a work schedule in conjunction with the Program Manager of the residences and direct service personnel to assure adequate coverage for residents of the home. Some daytime hours for the Assistant Manager are scheduled to handle administrative affairs of the home, to supervise residents who may not be able to attend work, and to attend staff meetings or accompany a resident to an appointment. Schedules may vary upon the needs of the residents.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Program Manager is the on-site supervisory position within the residence. The Assistant Manager promotes a supportive and accepting environment within the home for the residents and their families and regularly monitors each resident in the home to assure the resident’s needs are met. The Assistant Program Manager (1) directs, supervises, implements and evaluates the residential programs, with supervision from the Program Manager and Residential Director,(2) provides direct care and supervision of all residents.
The Assistant Program Manager must be flexible to adapt to a multitude of situations to meet the needs of individual residents.
The Assistant Program Manager will ensure that staff of the home will maintain standards of treatment to assure residents maintain continuous active treatment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A relevant BA/BS Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One year full time employment in a residential program or related field with supervisory responsibilities.
Substitute for Education: Two years work experience in the field of developmental disabilities may be substituted for each year of required education beyond high school level.
