The Outreach Speacialist represents the Club through a variety of outreach programs in the communities in which we serve and assists in the development of content for educational outreach programs, ensuring that our efforts are viewed, developed, and presented through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
What you will do:

• Responsible for traffic safety activities in Club territory, including working with schools, police departments, libraries and senior centers to deliver a quality product to all participants. Presents programs and provides educational materials to members, stakeholders and the general public. Generates interest in signature programs such as the AAA School Safety Patrol, Ruby Bridges and the Shifting Gears marijuana and driving program.
• Represents AAA Northeast on stakeholder committees and task forces, such as the Statewide Strategic Highway Safety Plan. Represents AAA Northeast at local civic and community events.
• Participates in the planning and execution of synchronous, virtual and asynchronous educational programs. Align and customize outreach programs with state and local traffic safety and transportation issues/needs.
• Works with Branch Operations to support outreach efforts in branch offices, and gain assistance from branches in promoting Public Affairs initiatives.
• Assists with planning volunteer and charitable giving efforts as well as other events including the Diamond and Community Traffic Safety Awards luncheons.
• Stays up to date with automotive/transportation industry trends, traffic safety research and the political landscape.
• May conduct or assist in certification classes as appropriate.
• Travel Requirement: Upto 40% travel across RI and MA.

What you need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

3 years experience in public affairs, education, community engagement, grassroots advocacy, or related roles

Strong presentations skills and public speaking

Salary: The pay range for this position in Rhode Island is $55,000.00 - $66,250.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Annual bonuses are some of the additional forms of compensation offered.
