The Install shop Lead is a working lead position that participates in installs as well as plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the install shop. Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive install shop sales, increase profitability, create install shop policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high install shop standards and conditions and foster a positive environment.
Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
o Complete install shop operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
o Maintain install shop staff by working with H.R. to recruit, select, orient and train employees.
o Maintain install shop staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results and communicating with H.R.
o Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
o Safety-Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean install shop environment
o Maintain the stability and reputation of the install shop by complying with legal requirements
o Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures
o Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
o Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent
o Work with H.R. to address staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development
o Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
o Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
o Handle multiple projects
o Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
o Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
o Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
o All other duties as assigned
