Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow care plans and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain a clean and organized environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Adhere to resident rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
- Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and basic medical terminology
- Ability to provide compassionate care with patience, empathy, and respect
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required)
- Familiarity with senior care or hospice care is a plus
